Discover New World Puro Especial

AJ Fernandez developed the New World line as a tribute to the history of tobacco in the Americas.

The New World Puro Especial takes that concept further by using Nicaraguan tobacco throughout the blend.

That gives the cigar a particularly authentic Nicaraguan character.

Instead of relying on tobacco from multiple countries, the blend focuses on the qualities of Nicaraguan-grown leaves.

Consequently, smokers can expect a profile built around:

• Earth
• Cedar
• Pepper
• Cocoa
• Espresso
• Roasted tobacco
• Natural sweetness

This combination creates a cigar with plenty of depth while maintaining the approachable proportions of a Robusto.

---

New World Puro Especial Robusto Size

The Robusto format measures approximately 5 x 50.

That combination provides a substantial ring gauge without making the cigar excessively long.

As a result, you get plenty of smoke and flavor in a session that generally takes less time than a Toro or Churchill.

The Robusto format is particularly useful when you want a premium cigar after dinner or during an evening break but do not have several hours available.

Nicaraguan Puro Construction

One of the most important characteristics of New World Puro Especial is its Nicaraguan puro construction.

The blend uses Nicaraguan tobacco for the wrapper, binder, and filler.

This allows the cigar to showcase the distinctive characteristics of Nicaraguan tobacco.

Nicaraguan tobacco commonly brings flavors such as:

Pepper · Earth · Cedar · Spice · Coffee · Cocoa

Those characteristics work especially well in a fuller-bodied cigar.

---

The Wrapper

The New World Puro Especial uses a dark Nicaraguan wrapper that contributes much of the cigar’s richness.

The wrapper adds depth and helps deliver the darker flavors associated with the blend.

As the cigar burns, the wrapper works with the Nicaraguan binder and filler to create an increasingly rich smoking experience.

---

Nicaraguan Binder and Filler

The binder and filler continue the all-Nicaraguan theme.

AJ Fernandez uses carefully selected tobacco to create the blend’s foundation.

The filler contributes body and strength, while the binder helps maintain the cigar’s structure and balance.

Together, they create the bold tobacco character that New World Puro Especial smokers expect.

Flavor Profile

The New World Puro Especial Robusto offers a flavor profile that emphasizes classic Nicaraguan characteristics.

Cedar

Cedar provides a familiar woody quality and helps establish the cigar’s foundation.

Earth

Earthy tobacco brings depth and richness to the blend.

Black Pepper

Pepper adds intensity and a lively finish.

Cocoa

Cocoa contributes a darker sweetness that balances the stronger tobacco flavors.

Espresso

Roasted coffee notes can emerge as the cigar develops.

Roasted Tobacco

The underlying tobacco character ties the profile together.

Overall, the cigar can be described as:

Cedar · Earth · Black Pepper · Cocoa · Espresso · Roasted Tobacco

This combination makes it particularly appealing to smokers who prefer richer Nicaraguan cigars.

A Full-Bodied Nicaraguan Cigar

The New World Puro Especial Robusto is best suited to smokers who enjoy medium-to-full and full-flavored Nicaraguan cigars.

Its flavor profile offers considerable intensity without relying exclusively on pepper.

Instead, the cigar combines spice with wood, earth, coffee, cocoa, and tobacco sweetness.

That combination gives the Robusto a satisfying progression.

For newer cigar smokers, the profile may feel substantial.

For experienced Nicaraguan cigar enthusiasts, however, the strength and complexity make it a natural addition to the humidor.

---

Why Choose the Robusto?

The Robusto format has several advantages.

Convenient Size

At approximately 5 inches long, the cigar provides substantial flavor without the length of a Churchill.

Large Ring Gauge

The 50 ring gauge allows plenty of filler tobacco to contribute to the blend.

Excellent Everyday Format

The size works well for evenings, after-dinner smoking, weekends, and cigar lounges.

Flavor-Focused Experience

The shorter length allows you to reach the cigar’s deeper flavors without committing to an extremely long session.

Box of 20

This product comes as a box of 20 New World Puro Especial Robustos.

A box makes sense for customers who already know they enjoy the blend.

It also provides a practical way to keep a consistent Nicaraguan cigar in your humidor.

Rather than buying individual cigars repeatedly, a box gives you a ready supply for regular smoking.

The box also makes an attractive option for serious cigar enthusiasts who enjoy collecting AJ Fernandez releases.

---

AJ Fernandez New World

The New World family has become an important part of AJ Fernandez’s portfolio.

The collection celebrates the tobacco traditions of the Americas while showcasing AJ Fernandez’s distinctive Nicaraguan blending style.

For customers who already enjoy New World, New World Cameroon, New World Connecticut, New World Oscuro, or other AJ Fernandez releases, Puro Especial provides another blend worth exploring.

---

New World Puro Especial vs. New World Original

The two cigars share the New World name, but they offer different experiences.

New World Original

The original New World blend combines Nicaraguan tobacco with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper.

New World Puro Especial

Puro Especial takes the Nicaraguan character further with an all-Nicaraguan tobacco blend.

Therefore, choose Puro Especial if you specifically want to explore the flavor of Nicaraguan tobacco throughout the cigar.

---

Pairing Suggestions

The rich character of the New World Puro Especial Robusto pairs well with roasted and dark flavors.

Coffee

Try it with:

• Espresso
• Dark roast coffee
• Americano
• Cold brew

Coffee complements the cigar’s espresso and cocoa characteristics.

Chocolate

Dark chocolate can emphasize the sweeter side of the tobacco.

Whiskey

For adult cigar enthusiasts, bourbon or rye can complement the cigar’s pepper, oak, and roasted tobacco flavors.
