Partagas – Presidentes (Single cigar)

Partagas Presidentes Single Cigar

The Partagas Presidentes Single Cigar offers cigar enthusiasts an opportunity to experience one of the more distinctive shapes in the Partagás portfolio without purchasing a complete box.

Unlike the familiar Robusto or Toro formats, the Presidentes uses a Double Figurado construction. The cigar tapers toward both ends, creating its characteristic shape and earning it the factory vitola name Taco.

At approximately 158 mm long with a 47 ring gauge, the Presidentes offers a longer smoking experience while maintaining the concentrated character associated with Partagás.

Partagas Presidentes Double Figurado

The Partagas Presidentes Double Figurado stands out immediately because of its unusual shape.

The tapered ends require a different approach to cutting and lighting compared with a straight-sided cigar. This distinctive construction is part of the appeal for experienced smokers who enjoy exploring traditional Cuban vitolas.

The Presidentes measures approximately 6 1/4 inches in length with a 47 ring gauge, placing it between a long-format cigar and a substantial figurado.

Its longer format provides enough time for the Partagás blend to evolve during the smoking session.

Partagas Presidentes Taco

The Partagas Presidentes Taco takes its name from the factory classification for this distinctive Double Figurado shape.

The Taco vitola is relatively uncommon compared with more familiar Cuban cigar shapes. This makes the Presidentes particularly interesting for collectors and enthusiasts who want to explore less conventional Habanos formats.

The cigar is tapered at both the head and foot, while the central body provides a larger smoking surface. This shape can concentrate the flavors and change the smoking experience as the cigar progresses.

Cuban Partagas Presidentes

The Cuban Partagas Presidentes carries the long-standing heritage of the Partagás brand.

Partagás was established in Havana in 1845, and the brand has become closely associated with rich, earthy Cuban tobacco character. The Presidentes continues that tradition with a blend built around tobacco from Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo growing region.

The Presidentes was introduced to the UK market in 2017, where it became a notable addition to the modern Partagás range.

Partagas Presidentes Flavor Profile

The Partagas Presidentes delivers the rich, earthy character expected from the brand while adding layers of spice and wood throughout the smoking experience.

Common tasting notes include:

• Earth
• Cedar
• Wood
• Leather
• Black pepper
• Sweet spice
• Coffee
• Cocoa
• Roasted tobacco
• Nuts

The cigar can begin with earthy and woody flavors before developing greater intensity and complexity as it progresses. Current tasting references also describe cedar, cocoa, baking spices, espresso, black pepper, and almond among the flavors that can emerge during the smoke.

The result is a complex profile suited to smokers who enjoy powerful Cuban tobacco.

Partagas Presidentes Strength

The Partagas Presidentes is generally classified as full-bodied, although some current retailers describe it as medium-full to full.

Its intensity makes it particularly appropriate for experienced cigar smokers who enjoy strong, pronounced tobacco flavors.

The strength can build throughout the cigar, making the Presidentes a particularly rewarding choice for smokers who enjoy a cigar that develops from beginning to end.

Partagas Presidentes Smoking Time

The Partagas Presidentes provides a substantial smoking session.

Current retailer specifications estimate approximately 45 minutes, while some descriptions place the smoking experience closer to an hour or longer depending on smoking pace.

Its 158 mm length gives the smoker plenty of time to experience the changing flavor profile.

For that reason, the Presidentes works particularly well as:

• An after-dinner cigar
• An evening cigar
• A weekend smoke
• A special-occasion cigar
• A cigar for relaxed social sessions

Partagas Presidentes Single Cigar for the Humidor

The Partagas Presidentes Single Cigar is an excellent addition to a personal humidor for enthusiasts who enjoy distinctive Cuban vitolas.

Because the cigar is sold individually, it allows smokers to experience the Presidentes without committing to a complete box.

This makes the single cigar particularly useful for:

• Trying the Presidentes for the first time
• Building a varied Cuban collection
• Cigar tastings
• Special occasions
• Comparing different Partagás formats
• Adding a distinctive figurado to a humidor

Proper humidity-controlled storage is recommended to preserve the cigar’s condition and smoking characteristics.

Partagas Presidentes for Experienced Smokers

The Partagas Presidentes is best suited to experienced cigar enthusiasts.

Its full-bodied character, unusual Double Figurado construction, and longer format make it more appropriate for smokers who are already comfortable with stronger cigars.

Partagás enthusiasts who have enjoyed the Serie D No.4 or other full-bodied Cuban formats may particularly appreciate the Presidentes for its distinctive shape and extended smoking experience.

Partagas Presidentes for Collectors

The Partagas Presidentes Single Cigar is also an interesting choice for cigar collectors.

The Taco vitola is less commonly encountered than standard Robusto, Toro, or Churchill formats. Its distinctive Double Figurado shape therefore adds variety to a Cuban cigar collection.

Collectors may also appreciate the opportunity to compare the Presidentes with other Partagás formats, including the Serie D No.4, Serie P No.2, Serie E No.2, and traditional long-format cigars.

Partagas Presidentes for Gifting

A single Partagas Presidentes can make an excellent premium cigar gift for an experienced smoker.

Its unusual shape gives it an immediately distinctive presentation, while the Partagás name adds strong recognition among Cuban cigar enthusiasts.

It can be suitable for:

• Birthdays
• Father’s Day
• Anniversaries
• Retirement gifts
• Cigar club events
• Premium cigar gift baskets
• Dinner gifts
• Special celebrations
• Cigar tastings

For a larger presentation, the Presidentes is also available in a Box of 25.

Partagas Presidentes vs Partagas Serie D No.4

Both cigars offer the rich Partagás character, but their formats create different smoking experiences.

The Presidentes is therefore an excellent choice when you want the traditional Partagás character in a less conventional format.
